A work at home business was something that I really did not consider when I was actively looking for a new career.

But a good friend of mine (my mentor) turned me on to something I really enjoy.  And that's how it usually begins.

Keep your eye open for new possibilities and eventually you will find something that is right for you.

I've stated previously that networking is my favorite job search strategy. And it was through networking that I found a work at home business that added successfully to my career plan.

• Speeches, lectures, television and radio programs and interviews are a great work at home business.  These must be converted to text that's delivered in a timely and accurate way.

• If you're an experienced information technology professional and you enjoy problem-solving and quality customer service, you may be able to work from home providing tech support via phone, online and in person to customers nationwide.
