Professional Resume
When Results Are Needed

Seeking professional resume help is something you may want to consider. There are two ways to look at this. "To pay or not to pay" for this service. I honestly think it depends on your personal situation.

There are a ton of "experts" out there who will tell you it should not even be open for discussion.

This usually comes from someone who wants you to pay them to write your resume for you.

I have seen some of these "professional" services, and they weren't any better than ones written by people like you and me.

But to be fair, I've seen some horrible resumes that would never get a person in for a job interview. Even though this person may have been qualified.

If you are a Shakespeare behind the pen, write your own. There are tons of resume help and free resume samples out there.

If you find that after a period of time, you cannot seem to get any response to your resume, you might want to consider outside help.

If your writing skills aren't the best, or you are really struggling with getting a good resume together, I would encourage you to seek a professional resume writer for help. There are plenty of them out there.

Here are some resume tips to consider.
  • If you are going to hire a resume writer, find a true professional, not some shady character who works out of his basement.
  • Do some research before you jump in. Look at the company qualifications, areas of specialty and experience.
  • Check and see if the organization offers references.
  • Shop around and compare prices.
  • Ask to see some samples of previous work.
  • If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
  • If you receive a claim of a “guaranteed job offer” with the service, be cautious.

Once you have polished up your professional resume or tried your hand at CV writing, you are ready to work on the cover letter that will accompany it.

With a successful resume under your belt, you are on your way to a job interview.
